Requirements to the content and design of cigarette advertising These requirements are made according to Federal Law # 38-FZ ‘On Advertising’ of March 13, 2006. Placement and distribution of cigarette, tobacco and smoking requisites advertising, including pipes, water pipes, cigarette paper, lighters, and other similar products on the first and last pages and the covers of the magazine and also in printed editions intended for the minors is prohibited. Cigarette and tobacco advertising shall be followed by the tobacco prevention and this warning shall be placed on not less than 10% of the advertising space. Cigarette, tobacco and smoking requisites advertising including pipes, water pipes, cigarette paper, lighters and other similar goods shall not: 1)    Contain affirmations that smoking is important for getting public recognition, professional, sports or personal success or that it provides improvement of physical or emotional condition; 2)    Criticize withdrawal from smoking; 3)    Address to minors 4)    Use the images of the minors. Cigarettes are the subject of mandatory certification, for this purpose the duly verified certificate shall be submitted with the advertising. Modules and lines with cigarette and tobacco advertising shall be documented by the separate orders (apart from the other modules and other lines). If modular or line advertising does not comply with these requirements it shall not be accepted to publication!
